I am an expert in tectonics, structural geology, and seismic interpretation, with over 30 years of experience in oil and gas exploration.

I’ve worked with major companies including Elf, Shell, E.On, Orion, Dana, K.NOC, EnQuest, Taqa, Noble Energy, Fairfield, StaatsOlie, and SOCAR.

My background includes academic research at Rennes 1 University (France) and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, as well as industry leadership as Head of the Shell Tectonics Lab.

I specialize in seismic interpretation, static model building (Petrel, SMT Kingdom, Landmark, Paradigm), basin modeling (from lithospheric to prospect scale), and sedimentology (carbonates, siliciclastics, turbidites).

Over the course of my career, I have worked in more than 35 countries, across 40 basins, and have studied over 80 fields in detail. I’ve also led projects and teams, trained geoscientists, and taught extensively. Since 2008, I’ve been the founder and managing director of Tectonics Experts Ltd., and later also of GIGA (2015) and GAGE (2022).
